Welcome to StartUpPuppy.com! This site has been put together by people with an entrepreneurial spirit and is designed to help anyone who has aspirations of starting a new business or expanding their existing business. StartUpPuppy.com is a member-based community of like-minded business people who want to exchange ideas and experiences with others who are starting their businesses. It is our intention to inspire and encourage entrepreneurs and people who want to create their own business.
We know that it takes an incredible amount of hard work, sacrifice, determination and perseverance to build a successful business. We also know that no one person can know everything about what is involved in turning your dream into an operating business. That is why StartUpPuppy.com was created. We live in a time unlike any other when it comes to starting your own business. As recently as a generation ago, most small businesses were location-based businesses: you started your business where your customers were, and usually were limited to a customer base that drove by your location. Today, businesses can reach customers anywhere there is an internet connection. Resources and information are a mouse-click away. StartUpPuppy.com wants to be your first resource.
StartUpPuppy.com is your source for information on the major areas of concern when you are starting up your business: Business Structures, Business Plans, Accounting and Financial resources and many others. There are several other unique features available here at StartUpPuppy.com which place us several levels above the multitude of business-related web sites available. Most of the information available on-line comes in the form of articles written for magazines. These articles are encouraging and positive, but usually lack any real in-depth content. StartUpPuppy.com is much more than a selection of magazine articles. We are a network of people who are all swimming in the same direction and are looking for others who share the same dream: Starting a business of their own.
Listed below are some of the features that you will not find at any other single business-related site:
• Our Forum allows entrepreneurs of all experience levels to share their questions and experiences – good and bad – with each other. Got a question about a specific area of your business start-up? Ask it on The Board, and get advice and answers from people who have been there and done that.
• Our Business and a Beer section is a series of interviews with successful business owners who have started and grown their own businesses. We sit down over an adult beverage and talk about their start-up: Where did they get their inspiration for their business idea? What are some of the biggest hurdles that they faced during their start-up? How do they attract and keep good help? Did the start-up process proceed as they had planned, or did they have to make adjustments to their business plan or products and services to accommodate the market that they entered?
• The Small Business News postings will keep you informed of current news issues that will affect your start-up.
• Our Classified Ads section will allow you to place an ad for help, services or other business-related needs in front of people who are looking for what you have, or who have what you need.
